FGA Z06 Scores High Finishes at PIR

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Portland International Raceway was the scene for the April Sports Car Club of America (http://www.oregonscca.com) road races held on April 21 and 22, and the Fluge Global Adventures Z06 did not disappoint the GM fans in the stands.

Under the tutelage of Motorsports Ambassador, Todd Harris, http://www.prodrive.net, and the Crew Chief work of Steve Gatrell, Nick Fluge drove the #7 Vette to a first place finish in the first sprint race on Sunday and a second place finish in the later main event.

Not only was the Vette looking great in it’s new metallic blue colors, but the pace car was Nick’s Great American Run (aka, Cannonball) Saleen Bad Boy! The SCCA officials had a great time driving it as a pace vehicle and Fluge made successful starts right behind it as he sat on each of the days’ two pole positions in the Z06.

You can see from the pictures below that the team is just gearing up for the season - but already in rare form early in the year.
Keep posted for more exciting SCCA racing information.

Fluge Sets Sights on Kilamanjaro & Racing at Long Beach

As you know, Yelena, Troy, and I are less than 4 months away from our Kilamanjaro Summit with our friends at Alpine Ascents (based in Seattle). For those of you venturing onto the world’s tallest peaks - remember to check out this “world’s best alpine find” at http://www.alpineascents.com.

As you’ll see below, I’ve also added a shot of the FGA Viper of Cindi Lux, who along with Scotty B. White tackled the Long Beach Gran Prix 10 days ago. http://www.naykidracing.com.

More soon about my personal SCCA road race at PIR - the Z06 had a great weekend thanks to my tremendous Motorsports Ambassador and Mentor, Todd Harris, http://www.prodrive.net, and my Crew Chief, Steve Gatrell.
