FGA Race Team in Full Preparation

Friday, April 20th, 2007

The FGA road racing team seems to be moving up to speed! This Tuesday, April 17, marked a new track day for the Corvette Z06 of FGA’s Lead Adventurer, Nick Fluge, and for the TransAm Corvette of FGA’s Motorsports Ambassador, Todd Harris, http://www.prodrive.net

Even under the cloud cover and periodic rain at PIR, Todd Harris showed that he belongs in the racing elite of the country and perhaps the world with outstanding track times that would make NASCAR, ChampCar, and AllCar professionals green with envy.

The team of Harris and Fluge are hoping to pull some great successes as the year progresses – especially at the early June “Rose Cup” races, the crown jewel of west coast road racing. With a tremendous crew and team behind them – this dream is only a few months away

While Fluge will be keeping busy keeping Neon’s and Sentra’s at bay in regional SCCA races, Harris will be readying himself for the Rose Cup run against some of the best cars and drivers in America.

Fluge Prepares for 2 Adventures from Vineyard

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

I’ve been getting a number of questions about my preparation for racing and mountain climbing. I’ve talked about practical training; from Todd Harris and ProDrive in my race car preparation (http:www//prodrive.net) – to Yelena King (my core specialist) and Troy Carter (my VO2 Max coach) in my mountain and athletic preparation. No questions – the professionals are pushing me towards my goals – but FGA never limits it’s options when training for adventure. And you shouldn’t either.

Yesterday I spent my day at Stormy Morning Vineyard in Banks, Oregon, helping my cousin Bill and ‘prepping’ for adventure. As the pictures indicate you’ll see I’m sharpening my racing skills on the “Mule” an essential 4 wheel drive needed on any modern day vineyard. Next you’ll see me pulling cable that’s about to be used to post up for new plant growth. (That exercise not only increases my strength but readies me for pulling Mt Everest victims to safety should that be needed). I’m closing in on my targets!

So for those of you who thought my road racing or athletic skills occurred naturally – wrong!
