Fluge Prepares for 2 Adventures from Vineyard

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

I’ve been getting a number of questions about my preparation for racing and mountain climbing. I’ve talked about practical training; from Todd Harris and ProDrive in my race car preparation (http:www//prodrive.net) - to Yelena King (my core specialist) and Troy Carter (my VO2 Max coach) in my mountain and athletic preparation. No questions - the professionals are pushing me towards my goals - but FGA never limits it’s options when training for adventure. And you shouldn’t either.

Fluge in the Vineyard

Yesterday I spent my day at Stormy Morning Vineyard in Banks, Oregon, helping my cousin Bill and ‘prepping’ for adventure. As the pictures indicate you’ll see I’m sharpening my racing skills on the “Mule” an essential 4 wheel drive needed on any modern day vineyard. Next you’ll see me pulling cable that’s about to be used to post up for new plant growth. (That exercise not only increases my strength but readies me for pulling Mt Everest victims to safety should that be needed). I’m closing in on my targets!

So for those of you who thought my road racing or athletic skills occurred naturally - wrong!
