On July 29, 2007, four hundred cars will start from four originating cities: Miami, Atlanta, Washington, DC, and New York - on a 2900 mile, cross-country adventure. Each route will cover approximately the same distance from start to finish. The object of the competition is to obtain an average speed of 61mph over the entire 2900 mile route, stopping overnight in various cities for the notorious evening parties.

Fluge and Lowblad start their adventure from New York

All 400 drivers and their co-pilots will ultimately join together in Las Vegas for a pre-finale celebration and travel together on the final 270 mile journey to Los Angeles. Teams will navigate their way through a series of checkpoints and complete a track day to get to the final destination. Their route to the next checkpoint is a closely guarded secret and will only be revealed at the beginning of each leg. The event will conclude with one winning team and a massive celebrat ion in Los Angeles for Pilots and guests.

World’s Largest Driving Adventure

The Great American Run will be the world’s largest driving adventure and is based on the success of our European Cannonball events. Since introducing the event in Europe in 2001, Tim ‘Maverick’ Porter has driven alongside nearly 1000 drivers on seven major events. Just taking part in an event like this is an achievement, winning is nothing short of life changing.

A target time has been set for each stage of the event (achievable without breaking the speed limits), and the winner of the event will be the drivers of the car that get the closest overall time. The victorious team will be announced at the Final Night Gala Dinner in Los Angeles, CA and will take the World Title, the trophy and free entry in to the next event to defend their crown.
